Tim Warkentin

Tim Warkentin has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Tim started their career at Motorola in 1999 as a Senior Hardware Engineer, where they were responsible for the physical layer of a UMTS base station emulator. Tim then joined TelASIC Communications in 2004 as a Senior Digital Design Engineer, working on FPGA/HC development for a multi-carrier Digital-Pre-Distortion (DPD) processor used in 3G WCDMA remote radio heads. In 2008, Tim worked at Qualcomm as a Senior Engineer, focusing on SOC design for UMTS base station femto cell. Tim moved to MTI Laboratory in 2009 as a Sr. Digital Design Engineer, contributing to LTE/WCDMA Remote Radio-Head transceiver development. Tim then worked at Cobham as a Principal Design Engineer in 2012, leading a team involved in the design of a quad-transceiver SDR platform. Tim joined Intel in 2013 as an Emulation Engineer, responsible for creating emulation model builds for SoC/IoT designs and providing firmware teams with a pre-silicon platform. Currently, Tim holds the position of Principal Hardware Engineer at Keysight Network Visibility Test & Security, where they utilize their expertise in hardware engineering.

Tim Warkentin pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta between 1993 and 1997.
