Aubrey Adams

Aubrey Adams has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Aubrey started their career as an Orientation Assistant at the University of Virginia from May 2010 to May 2012. Aubrey then worked as a Substitute Teacher at Albemarle County Public Schools from January 2013 to May 2013.

In August 2013, Aubrey became a Second Grade Teacher at Loudoun County Public Schools, where they developed and led differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse students. Aubrey also served as the Head Swim Coach for the school's swim team from November 2014 to February 2016.

After their teaching experience, Aubrey joined Dartmouth College as a Program Coordinator for the Admissions Ambassador Program from September 2016 to June 2018. In this role, they facilitated the recruitment, training, and stewardship of over 6,000 volunteers.

In May 2018, Aubrey transitioned to IXL Learning and held various positions over the years. Aubrey started as a K-5 Math Specification Writer, where they wrote specification documents for elementary math content. Aubrey later took on the role of Lead Professional Learning Specialist, and in 2023, they were promoted to Manager of Professional Learning Services.

Prior to their professional career, Aubrey also served as the Head Swim Coach at South Riding Stingrays from June 2007 to August 2014. During their tenure, they supervised assistant coaches and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the clinics program.

Aubrey Adams obtained a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Virginia from 2008 to 2013. During the same period, Aubrey also pursued a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching at the University of Virginia.
