Brent Huang

Brent Huang's work experience includes roles in various companies. Brent worked as a Software Engineer at IXL Learning starting from July 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Software Developer at Pelmorex Corp from September 2021 to December 2021. Brent also worked as a Software Developer at UWPath from May 2021 to October 2021. Before transitioning into software roles, Brent was an Investment Banking Analyst - Technology M&A at Sampford Advisors Inc from January 2020 to April 2020. Brent also held the position of Actuarial Student at London Life from January 2019 to April 2019. Additionally, Brent worked as an Analyst - OTC Derivatives, Regulatory Operations at CIBC Capital Markets from May 2018 to August 2018.

Brent Huang completed their education at various institutions. Brent attended Glebe Collegiate Institute from 2013 to 2017 and obtained their OSSD. Later, from 2017 to 2022, they simultaneously pursued two degrees. Brent completed a Bachelor of Mathematics (B.Math) with a specialization in Mathematical Optimization - Operations Research at the University of Waterloo. Brent also earned a Computing Minor and received the Dean's Honours. Additionally, during the same period, they studied at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with a focus on Finance.

Brent Huang also holds several certifications. In 2019, they earned the Exam FM: Financial Mathematics certification from the Society of Actuaries, as well as the Canadian Securities Course - Exams 1 and 2 from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). In 2018, they received the Bloomberg Analytics Certification from Prism Resources. Furthermore, in 2017, they obtained a 2nd Degree (Dan) Blackbelt from Kukkiwon, and achieved Level 10 in Practical Piano from The Royal Conservatory of Music.
