Evan Whiting, PhD, is an experienced Science Curriculum Designer currently employed at IXL Learning since May 2024, focusing on creating high-quality educational products. Previously, Evan served as Adjunct Faculty for Earth Science at Valencia College, teaching introductory courses and receiving excellent student evaluations. Prior roles include a Middle School Science Teacher with Osceola County School District and a Science Writer at the University of Minnesota, where critical research on fungal bioremediation was communicated to a broad audience. Evan’s academic background includes a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree in Earth & Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Florida, graduating summa cum laude. Throughout the career, Evan has consistently demonstrated a commitment to education and research in the sciences.
