Yihuan Dong

Yihuan Dong has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and education.

Starting from 2021, Yihan worked at IXL Learning as a Software Engineer. In this role, they developed interactive virtual manipulative components for educational purposes and led development projects while coordinating with different teams. They also created infrastructure and internal tools to enhance productivity in creating questions and skills for K-12 students.

Prior to that, Yihuan worked at North Carolina State University. From 2014 to 2021, they held the position of Graduate Research Assistant, where they designed and developed curriculums with a focus on computational thinking for STEM classrooms. They also conducted programming training sessions for hundreds of teachers and maintained a system, Snap Class, which supported thousands of students in learning programming.

Before their time at North Carolina State University, Yihuan had an internship at Zhongcheng Software Technology in 2013. As a Software Engineer Intern, they designed the layout of the company's information website and developed front-end webpages using various technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSP. They also systematically tested the functionalities of the webpages.

Prior to this, Yihuan Dong attained a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, where they studied from 2010 to 2014.
