Kene Anona is a dedicated medical professional and community advocate with extensive experience in healthcare and volunteerism. Currently serving as a volunteer with the Maryland Responds Medical Reserve Corps since January 2024, Kene has also held roles as a medical doctor at both the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and EHA Clinics since May 2022 and October 2020, respectively. Kene's commitment to community service is evident through ongoing volunteer work with The Right Stage, a nonprofit focused on empowering underprivileged children and women in Nigeria, and as a peer educator trainer with the International Youth Alliance for Family Planning since August 2016. Kene's editorial contributions include serving as chief editor for the first edition of the Emergency Handbook of the National Association of Resident Doctors in Nigeria and providing medical expertise to the Nigeria Football Federation. Kene Anona's medical training includes a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from the University of Ibadan and further education at the University of Washington.
