Seula Kim serves as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Penn State University and holds the position of Research Affiliate at the IZA - Institute of Labor Economics. Kim has been a Special Sworn Status Researcher at the U.S. Census Bureau since November 2020 and was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University from September 2023 to July 2024. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland from August 2017 to May 2023 and as a Summer Dissertation Fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 2022. Kim's educational background includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland and both an MA and BA in Economics from Seoul National University, along with a stint as a visiting student at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
