Murat Askar

Murat Askar is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in higher education. Since September 2010, Murat Askar has served at Izmir University of Economics as a Professor and has held leadership roles as Rector and Vice Rector, focusing on Academic Affairs. Prior to this, Murat Askar was a Professor at Middle East Technical University from November 1974 to September 2010. Additionally, Murat Askar served as Vice Chairman of Türkiye Bilişim Derneği from 2007 to 2010 and was the Institute Director at TUBITAK Information Technologies and Electronics Research Institute from 1995 to 2002. Murat Askar holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University, along with a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution.
