Benjamin Sievers has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Laboratory Intern at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, conducting research on the effects of growth-inhibiting drugs on Acute Myeloid Leukemia cells. In 2017, they worked as a Prep Cook at Harry's Fine Foods. Benjamin continued to gain experience in the field of science by working as a Laboratory Assistant at BioAtla LLC in 2019. Benjamin also explored their interest in the music industry by interning at Mead St. Studios in 2018, where they assisted with recording sessions, music production, and website design. In 2021, they worked as an Emergency Medical Technician at UC San Diego Health. Benjamin's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found two companies, B2 Diagnostics in 2020 and IMUNE Coin in 2021. At B2 Diagnostics, they focused on developing diagnostic technology for the developing world, including a measles vaccination device, a worm-based outdoor toilet system, and a non-invasive oximeter device for malaria detection. Lastly, they worked as a Fulbright Scholar at Institut Pasteur du Cambodge starting in 2022. Throughout their experiences, Benjamin has demonstrated a passion for science, entrepreneurship, and making a positive impact through their work.
Benjamin Sievers completed their high school education at Seattle Academy from 2014 to 2018, earning a High School Diploma. Benjamin then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, General at Pitzer College from 2018 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, Benjamin also obtained several certifications. In December 2020, they completed the Social and Behavioral Research program offered by the CITI Program, a division of BRANY. In January 2021, they obtained certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Lastly, in April 2019, Benjamin received Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross.
