Christof Fellmann

Christof Fellmann is currently the Head of CRISPR-X and Executive Director at CRISPR Therapeutics, a position held since August 2022. Concurrently, Christof is an Affiliate Investigator and Research Investigator at the Gladstone Institute of Data Science and Biotechnology since July 2018, where research focuses on cellular signaling in cancer and the development of innovative CRISPR-Cas methodologies. Additionally, Christof serves as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, and was a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Berkeley under Nobel Laureate Jennifer A. Doudna from May 2015 to June 2018. Prior experience includes co-founding Mirimus, Inc. in 2011 as Chief Scientific Officer, specializing in tailored mouse models utilizing RNA interference. Christof's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Life Sciences from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a Diplôme d'Ingénieur in Biotechnology from ESBS, and a Vordiplom in Molecular Biology from the University of Basel.
