Sir John Royden

Sir John Royden has extensive experience in the finance industry. Sir John started their career at Kleinwort Benson, working on the traded options desk. Sir John then founded The ECU Group of Companies, where they served as a founder, part owner, and director for over a decade. After that, they worked as a student at the London Business School. Sir John later joined finspreads as a consultant and then moved on to IFX Markets as a special projects employee. Sir John also worked as a consultant for The ECU Group plc before becoming a consultant at JM Finn. At JM Finn, they held several roles, including Head of Research and Head of Fixed Income Research. In 2011, they became the CEO of Royden & Co, where they were involved in activities such as drafting information memoranda for capital raises and M&A advisory.

Sir John Royden's education history begins with their A Levels from Stowe School, which they completed from 1978 to 1982. Sir John then pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Reading from 1983 to 1986. During this time, they also obtained an LLB degree in Law.

After their undergraduate studies, Sir John Royden enrolled in the London Business School, where they completed their Executive MBA and MBA degrees from 1997 to 1999. Their field of study during their time at the London Business School was Business Administration and Management, with a specialization in General MBA.

Furthering their education, Sir John Royden attended the CFA Institute from 2015 to 2017, completing their CFA degree in Accounting and Finance. In addition to their formal education, Sir John Royden obtained several certifications, including the CFA designation from the CFA Institute in August 2017. Sir John also acquired the Bond & Fixed Interest Markets certification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in December 2014 and the CFA UK Level 4 Certificate in Investment Management from the CFA Society United Kingdom in July 2014.
