Karen Viars, MS, MIS, is an experienced instructional designer specializing in adult learning and training development within the public health sector. Currently active as an Instructional Designer at J Michael Consulting since March 2023, Karen has previously served in roles at esteemed institutions such as the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. With a robust educational background, including MS degrees in Information Sciences and Instructional Design and Technology, as well as a BA in English Literature, Karen has demonstrated expertise in designing effective instructional materials and training programs across various educational environments, including higher education and emergency response training.
