Claire Walsh

Claire Walsh is an accomplished leader in the field of policy and communications, currently serving as Director of Policy and Communications at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). With over a decade of experience at J-PAL, Claire has successfully led major initiatives, including the King Climate Action Initiative, which focuses on evidence-based climate solutions and has benefited over 15 million people globally. As a former Associate Director of Policy, Senior Policy Manager, Policy Manager, and Senior Policy Associate, Claire has developed and executed strategies to enhance evidence utilization in policymaking, managed impactful programs, and contributed significantly to J-PAL’s outreach and training efforts. Claire holds a DPhil candidacy in Public Policy from the University of Oxford, a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Vassar College.
