Debra Meidl has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Debra started their career in 1980 as a General Manager at D. McGee Corporation and then moved on to work as an Inventory Control Specialist at Pepsi-Cola from 1987 to 1990. In 1990, they joined The J.R. Watkins Co. as an Independent Sales Representative. Debra also worked as a Merchandising Manager at International Youth Apparel from 1990 to 1991.
In 2006, Debra joined St. Michael Catholic School and held multiple roles during their tenure. Debra served as a Library Media Specialist, where they managed and updated the school library, catered to the library science needs of over 500 students, and organized successful book fairs. Debra also recruited and supervised volunteers, collaborated with community agencies, and promoted media center updates and programs. Additionally, Debra co-directed the Summer Adventures Plus program from 2013 to 2016.
From 2016 to 2020, Debra worked as an Activity Coordinator-Education at the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC). In this role, they planned and coordinated various events and activities for the Education department, managed snack preparation for the afterschool program, and handled meal planning for special events and activities.
Throughout their career, Debra demonstrated proficiency in computer systems, the Internet, and library software. Debra also developed more efficient systems and procedures and maintained positive relationships with staff, students, and community members.
From 1986 to 1987, Debra Meidl attended Concordia University-St. Paul, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior and Communication.
