Hugh Huang

Hugh Huang has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Hugh is currently the Vice President of Drug Product R&D at J-STAR Research, Inc. In this role, they provide customized and optimized solutions for drug product development and oversees end-to-end CDMO services. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Elacon CMC Consulting Group, LLC. Earlier in their career, Hugh held leadership positions at Galectin Therapeutics, Avalo Therapeutics, Imbrium Therapeutics, Purdue Pharma, and Johnson & Johnson. Hugh also has experience as a Tech Service Specialist at Dow. Throughout their career, Hugh has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) and pharmaceutics.

Hugh Huang holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The Ohio State University. Hugh also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University.
