Mark Cameron

Mark Cameron has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mark currently holds the position of VP Process R&D and GMP Operations at J-STAR Research, Inc. Mark previously served as Senior Director of Process Chemistry at JSTAR Research from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Chemistry at Silence Therapeutics plc in 2016. From 2011 to 2016, Mark worked as a Senior Principal Scientist at J Star Research. Mark began their career at Merck&Co in 1999, where they held the role of Research Fellow and led a team of chemists. Mark was also involved in the design of novel ionizable lipids for use in Lipid Nanoparticle mediated systemic delivery of siRNA.

Mark Cameron completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Manchester between 1986 and 1989. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry from Huddersfield University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986.
