Sourav Saha (He/His)

Sourav Saha is an accomplished development professional with nearly a decade of experience in the sector. He has held various managerial roles with NGOs and civil society organizations in Bangladesh, such as JAAGO Foundation and Urban Study Group. His unique skill set includes program management, strategic planning and execution, and communication.

Currently, Mr. Saha serves as the Deputy Manager and Head of the Youth Mobilization Team at JAAGO Foundation, a non-profit that focuses on providing quality education for underprivileged children and engaging youth in community development. He has a proven track record of effectively mobilizing over 50,000 youth leaders across Bangladesh for community interventions and implementing the SDGs through the organization's youth platform called Volunteer for Bangladesh. His areas of expertise include capacity building for youth in democracy and governance, mobilizing youth for climate action, and promoting women's empowerment. He has also served as a member of the Junior Management Committee to help the organization in achieving its goals and further its development.

Mr. Saha holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from Jagannath University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from National University, Bangladesh. He has received the prestigious Community Solution Program Fellowship from the U.S. Department of State, and has completed continuing education units in leadership from George Mason University in Virginia. He has also completed a national workshop on the Art and Practice of Leadership and participated as a delegate in a Youth Leadership Summit, both arranged by the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center.

In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Saha is actively involved in volunteer initiatives and has worked as a volunteer with organizations such as the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense, Rotaract Club of Dhaka, and USG Volunteers. He excels under pressure, works effectively independently and as a team leader, and has a talent for experimenting with new approaches in project planning and materials development.
