Erik Oviedo

Educational Adviser at Jack Kent Cooke

Erik B. Oviedo C. is an educational adviser at the Foundation, providing academic advising and support to the Cooke College Scholars.

Before joining the Cooke Foundation, Mr. Oviedo worked at The University of Texas at San Antonio as the Director of the Terry Scholarship Program; recruiting, mentoring, and aiding students in their transition into college all through their four years of their undergraduate careers. In his 9-year tenure at The University of Texas at San Antonio, Mr. Oviedo also worked as a Program Coordinator of the Supplemental Instruction Program and an Admissions Counselor recruiting the Texas territory. Mr. Oviedo also currently teaches The Civic Ethos for the Honors College at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Mr. Oviedo received his B.A. from St. Mary’s University & M.P.A. from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a concentration in Nonprofit Organization Leadership.
