John Faison

Currently a Director of Operations for Jackmont Hospitality’s Maryland and Philadelphia TGI FRIDAYS® locations, John Faison has come a long way since his days as a dishwasher. He began working for TGI FRIDAYS® in 1983 and has grown with the company – now, instead of washing dishes, he watches financials. John’s greatest satisfaction comes from seeing his employees grow their own careers. Under his guidance, more than 60 people have advanced from hourly positions to careers in management. “Faze,” as John was called back in his days at Rutgers University, has won several awards throughout his career, including most recently, the Presidential Diamond Star Recipient from Carlson Restaurants Worldwide. He’ll also proudly tell you that he has worked in more than 42 TGI FRIDAYS® restaurants. When he’s not collecting accolades, John gives back to the community through the restaurants he manages. He has organized school supply drives, needy family drives during the holidays, and breast cancer awareness initiatives, to name a few. At home, John keeps busy with his wife and children. He volunteers through his church and saves a few spare moments to work out at the gym.
