Mert Aydin

Mert Aydin is a skilled molecular diagnostic technologist with extensive experience in both research and clinical settings. Currently serving as a Senior Molecular Diagnostic Technologist at The Jackson Laboratory since January 2018, Mert has previously held positions as a Molecular Diagnostic Technologist and Research Assistant. Prior to this role, Mert worked at Duke University Health System as a Lab Research Analyst, where responsibilities included designing RT-PCR assays and handling clinical samples. Experience at Duke University as an Associate in Research involved the manipulation of yeast genomics and the use of advanced microscopy techniques. Earlier career stages included an administrative internship focused on yeast genetics and laboratory preparations, as well as an internship at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln contributing to wheat harvest analysis. Mert holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering from Sabanci University.
