Valencia joined Riis as human resources associate in November 2016, and was promoted to director of HR in 2021. Before joining the agency, she worked as a human resources management officer, overseeing two geographical departments for the Canadian Red Cross in Haiti. She is trilingual in French, Creole, and English. Valencia is passionate about everything HR. She holds an associate degree in HR Management alongside an SHRM-CP (Society of Human Resources Management-Certified Professional). She will be graduating with her bachelor’s degree in HRM this summer.
