Aytun Alakus has extensive work experience in consumer insights and strategy. Aytun is currently the Head of Consumer Insights & Relations and Analytics for MEA&GBD at Jacobs Douwe Egberts, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Global Insight Manager for the Middle East and Africa region at GSK from October 2015 to May 2020. Aytun also served as a Consumer Insight and Strategy Manager at Mondelēz International from January 2011 to March 2014 and as a Consumer and Shopper Insight Manager at Colgate Palmolive from July 2010 to January 2011. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group, including Europe Candy Consumer and Business Insights Manager from December 2009 to July 2010 and Consumer & Business Insights Manager from 2007 to 2009. Aytun also worked as a Consumer Insight Supervisor/Manager from 2002 to 2007 at the same company. Prior to their career in consumer insights, Aytun Alakus worked at ABank in the Risk Management division as a Management Trainee in the year 2000.

Aytun Alakus completed an MBA in Management and Organization from Yeditepe University between 2000 and 2002. Prior to that, they studied Econometrics and Quantitative Economics at Marmara University from 1994 to 2000. Aytun is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuromarketing from Azteca.
