Daniel McCoy

Daniel McCoy has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Daniel is currently working at Jaguar Gene Therapy as the Vice President of Preclinical Programs since November 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Preclinical Programs at the same company from August 2022 to November 2022. From August 2021 to August 2022, Daniel worked as the Associate Director of Preclinical Programs at Jaguar Gene Therapy.

Before joining Jaguar Gene Therapy, Daniel worked as a Scientific Advisor at Rarebase from August 2021 to February 2022. Daniel also served as a Senior Scientist in Gene Therapy at BridgeBio from August 2019 to August 2021.

Daniel has experience in leadership positions as well. Daniel worked as a Director at Daddy Daycare from January 2019 to August 2019. Additionally, they held the position of Principal Scientist in Platform Development at StrideBio, Inc from October 2018 to January 2019, and as a Senior Scientist in Platform Development from January 2017 to October 2018.

In their early career, Daniel worked as an Investigator in Translational Science at GSK from August 2015 to November 2016. Before that, they served as a Postdoctoral Associate at Duke University from August 2014 to August 2015.

Daniel received their PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California from August 2008 to May 2014. Daniel also gained experience as an Associate Scientist III at Sanofi Pasteur from February 2008 to August 2008 and as a Summer Intern and Contract Scientist at Pfizer from May 2006 to August 2007.

Daniel McCoy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Wake Forest University from 2003 to 2007. Daniel then pursued further studies and obtained a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California between 2008 and 2013.
