Andrew Wilson

Andrew Wilson has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and analysis. Andrew currently holds the position of Lead Data Engineer at Jaja Finance since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at the same company starting from May 2021.

Before joining Jaja Finance, Andrew served at Virgin Money where they held several roles. Andrew was the Lead Data Engineer/Architect from February 2020 to May 2021, leading data engineering and architectural projects. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Data Engineer from June 2018 to February 2020 and as a Technical Lead - Data Warehousing/BI from August 2013 to June 2018, showcasing their expertise in data warehousing and business intelligence.

Andrew's career began at Northumbrian Water in 2010 as a Systems Analyst, contributing to the analysis and management of systems. Before that, they worked at Cerres Limited as a Senior Oracle Developer from October 2003 to August 2010. During this time, they focused on application development and systems integration, providing consulting services to a large blue-chip company.

Andrew Wilson completed their education at Newcastle University. Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computing Science from 1999 to 2002. Andrew then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Systems Design in Internet Applications from 2002 to 2003 at the same university. In addition to their formal education, Andrew acquired several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include the Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Associate (OCA) from Oracle in June 2009, and various certifications from the Cloud Analytics Academy, such as Cloud Analytics Practitioner, Cloud Analytics Master, Cloud Analytics Architect, and Cloud Analytics Academy: Executive Fast Track, all obtained in September 2019. Andrew also obtained two certifications from Astronomer, namely Astronomer Certification for Apache Airflow Fundamentals in June 2022 and Astronomer Certification DAG Authoring for Apache Airflow in August 2022.
