RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop concepts for a variety of features that support primary gameplay and live operations.
  • Create detailed design documentation such as 1-pagers, detailed functional specs, wireframes and flowcharts for new features, meta systems, events, and more.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to build consensus around the problem definition and design solution.
  • Ensure implementation of features is according to design specs and at desired creative quality.
  • Tune game features and content via economy modeling and spreadsheet design.
  • Support live operations for any ad-hoc improvements or fixes to ensure the product and player experience is maintained at the highest possible quality.
  • Propose engaging and creative gameplay systems and content that will improve the user experience, engagement, and monetization.
  • Continually research game design trends, patterns, and consumer preferences.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. degree or Advanced Diploma in Game design or related field.
  • 3+ years of game industry design experience; at least 1+ years with mobile titles.
  • Experience designing a variety of game systems and events in a live operations setting.
  • Experience using spreadsheets to model systems, create balance curves, and tune games.
  • Understanding how to balance a high quality, fun player experience with product goals.
  • Strong organizational skills -- you value documentation and pay close attention to small details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player - everyone contributes ideas and we are an ego-free group.
