David Peterson

David Peterson, PhD, serves as the Academic Unit Head of Management at JMU College of Business since July 2024, having previously held the position of Interim Academic Unit Head. At James Madison University, David has been an Associate Professor of Management since August 2016, after progressing from the role of Assistant Professor. David also operates as an Independent Management Consultant, specializing in the development and implementation of targeted development programs, particularly in leadership and professional conduct. Prior roles include Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Warwick Business School, Training and Evaluation Consultant at OGE Energy Corp, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Oklahoma. David holds a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Oklahoma, along with an MS in the same field and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Business from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
