Jonathan S. Jones

Jonathan S. Jones currently serves as an Assistant Professor of History at James Madison University since August 2023. Prior to this position, Jonathan held the role of Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Virginia Military Institute from July 2021 to May 2023 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Penn State University from July 2020 to June 2021. Jonathan completed a Ph.D. in U.S. History at Binghamton University, where studies took place from August 2015 to June 2020. Earlier in his career, Jonathan was a Social Studies Teacher at McKinney ISD from August 2013 to July 2015 and taught high school social studies at various private schools in the Dallas area from August 2011 to July 2013. Jonathan's academic credentials include a Master's Degree in American History from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor's Degree in History from Dallas Baptist University.
