Benson Jeffress

Benson Jeffress has a strong background in compliance and regulatory roles within the insurance industry. Benson most recently worked as Vice President at James River Group since 2022. Prior to that, they served as Head of Compliance and Regulatory at Falls Lake Insurance Company (A James River Group Company) from 2020 until 2022. From 2011 to 2020, they held the position of Director of Compliance at RiverStone Resources. Benson also has experience as the Director of Regulatory Compliance at Esurance Inc from 2008 to 2011, and as the Assistant Vice President and Compliance Officer at H&R Block from 2006 to 2007. Benson began their career as Vice President of Compliance/Director of Governmental Affairs at Universal Underwriters from 1997 to 2006, where they managed regulatory, government affairs, and compliance activities for a national insurer. Throughout their career, Benson has demonstrated the ability to effectively manage compliance issues, build relationships with stakeholders, and navigate regulatory environments.

Benson Jeffress completed a Master of Science degree in Management from Baker University. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Maryland in 1988. Additionally, they received an Associates degree in Research and Planning from the Insurance Institute of America in 1999. In 1996, Benson also earned a CPCU (Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters) designation.
