Helen Freedman

Helen Freedman is a seasoned mediator, arbitrator, and neutral evaluator at JAMS since November 2014. Prior to that, Helen served as an Associate Justice in the Appellate Division, First Department, from 2008 to October 2014 and held the position of Justice in the New York State Supreme Court from 1984 to 2008, with a focus on the Commercial Division and extensive experience in asbestos and mass tort litigation spanning 21 years. Helen holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree from Smith College.
