Associate Principal Earl Rutherford is an experienced architect with 20 years of project design and delivery in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Earl is a team leader with a proven track record of delivering complex architectural projects within tight time frames and to exceptionally high standards.

Earl’s professional career includes work within large architectural practices as well as six years in private practice specialising in commercial scale modular design for off-site construction.

Earl is a leading architect in delivering a diverse range of highly innovative award-winning projects for government agencies, universities, and commercial clients. His project work includes multi-residential and commercial projects, and with a background in design for design for prefabrication he has a keen interest in further developing digital fabrication and design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA) processes.

Prior to joining Jasmax in 2019 to lead the Redevelopment of Scott Base in Antarctica while the highly complex project is on site, Earl was a Principal at both Isthumas and MOTM Architects, where he specialised in modular design, delivering projects such as the University of Auckland University Hall, HNZ Modular Housing, GWRC Modular Bus Hubs and Todd Energy’s Mckee Mangahewa Operations Facility.
