Mia Ferraiolo

Mia is fascinated by communication in all forms, from science writing to web design. She believes that any topic can be made interesting to any reader if you try hard enough, and she knows the key to writing something great is to get the idea down before you forget, then hit it repeatedly with a hammer.

Before joining Jaxon, she had the opportunity to formally apply her scientific background and writing skills to business development and marketing in the healthcare industry. In technology-based industries, the natural habitat of jargon, a good marketing strategy often involves science communication. Mia is devoted to creating content that is accessible to a wide audience. She has also worked in web development for an environmentally conscious theater and collaborated on play scripts. She has a passion for creative web design, illuminating infographics, and, of course, coral.

Mia earned her Bachelor of Science in marine biology from the University of St Andrews.
