Nita Davis, MSPA, has extensive experience in program management and leadership roles. Nita is currently the Director Community Facilitator and Independent Living Skills at Jay Nolan Community Services. Previous to this, they worked as the Program Director Transition/Employment Services at the Institute for the Redesign of Learning, where they oversaw various programs and successfully grew the department. Nita also served as the Operations Director at Ronald McDonald House Charities and as the Employment Program Manager at FVO Solutions. Their earlier experience includes working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Nita's expertise lies in developing and managing programs for individuals with developmental and learning disabilities, as well as providing vocational rehabilitation services.
Nita Davis, MSPA has a strong education background in public administration and sociology/business. Nita completed their Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree at California State University, Los Angeles from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Sociology/Business from Loyola Marymount University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994.
In addition to their formal education, Nita Davis has obtained two additional certifications. Nita completed the Person Centered Thinking Skills Certification from Eastern Los Angeles Regional in March 2020. Nita also obtained CPR/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross in January 2020. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and their ability to apply their knowledge in practical settings.
