Michelle Gamboa

Michelle Gamboa has extensive work experience in various roles, primarily focused on training, education, and instructional leadership.

Michelle most recently worked at JDI (Jones-Dilworth, Inc.) as the Director of L&D, Training, and Recruitment. Prior to that, they were the Manager of L&D, Training, and Recruitment at the same company.

Before JDI, Michelle worked as a High School English Instructor at the Austin Independent School District, where they designed and delivered impactful lessons using EdTech tools and data-driven best practices.

Michelle also held multiple roles at the Long Beach Unified School District, including Academy Program Director, Instructor, and Training Facilitator. In this position, they collaborated with leadership in establishing and opening a new school site, focusing on academic and career technical education.

Michelle gained experience in the hospitality industry as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, where they managed employees, trained staff, and developed store practices to increase productivity and customer satisfaction.

Michelle began their career as an English Second Language Instructor with EPIK (English Program in Korea), teaching disadvantaged learners and facilitating cultural exchange experiences.

Michelle Gamboa received their Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Occidental College during the years 2005 to 2009. Additionally, they obtained a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from California State University, Long Beach from 2014 to 2017.
