Devon Sims, MPH, MBA, NBC-HWC, serves as the Disease Intervention Program Manager at the Jefferson County Department of Health since December 2017, after progressing through various roles including Disease Intervention Program Supervisor and Disease Intervention Specialist. Previous experience includes a Health Coach position at Virta Health, serving as a Health and Wellness Coach at R.I.S.E. 4 Health Coaching, and holding multiple leadership roles at STChealth, including Director of Public Health Services. Earlier career experience includes working as an Epidemiological Analyst at the Jefferson County Department of Health and as an Epidemiologist at the Alabama Department of Public Health. Devon holds a Master of Business Administration focused on Health Care Administration and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and International Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Community Health and Political Science from Tufts University.
