Kevin Spruce

Kevin Spruce has a diverse work experience in the field of animation. Kevin started their career at Amblimation London as an Inbetweener/Assistant/Animator from 1989 to 1994. Kevin then worked as a Freelance 2D Commercials animator for various studios from 1994 to 1997. Kevin joined Bardel Entertainment as an Animator from 1997 to 2000. From 2000 onwards, they worked at Framestore where they held various roles including Senior/Lead Animator, Animation Supervisor, and Head of Animation. Kevin'sresponsibilities at Framestore included running animation teams, coaching and encouraging junior animators, coordinating with other departments, and creating a positive work atmosphere. In 2018, they worked at Business Sheffield and in 2019, they joined Jellyfish Pictures as an Animation Director.

Kevin Spruce has a strong educational background in visual media and graphic design. Kevin started their education at Oakmeeds Secondary in Burgess Hill, West Sussex from 1979 to 1983. After completing secondary school, they attended West Sussex College of Design in 1983, where they obtained a foundation degree in Art and Design. Kevin continued their education at the same institution, earning a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Graphic Design from 1983 to 1985.

Afterward, Kevin pursued higher education at Northbrook College from 1986 to 1988, where they obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Visual Media.

In addition to their education, Kevin Spruce has received notable certifications and nominations for their achievements in the field. In 2007, they were nominated for "Outstanding Visual Effects in a Broadcast Series" by the Visual Effects Society. In 2015, they received nominations for various awards including "Best Visual Effects" by BAFTA, "Outstanding Achievement in Character Animation in a Live Action Production" by the Annie Awards, and "Outstanding Performance of an Animated Character in a Photoreal/Live Action Feature Motion Picture" by the Visual Effects Society.
