Head Of Production Technology at Jellyfish Pictures

Paul J. Baaske has a diverse and extensive work experience in the animation and visual effects industry. Paul J. most recently worked at Jellyfish Pictures as the Head of Production Technology. Prior to that, they held the role of Head of Technical Direction at the same company.

Before joining Jellyfish Pictures, Paul worked at DNEG as the Global Workflow Architect for Feature Animation. In this role, they oversaw and led innovation across all technical workflows as the feature animation unit tripled in size. Paul J. also served as a CG Supervisor for feature animation projects at DNEG, where they spearheaded the setup of their first feature film and introduced new technical requirements.

Paul had previous experience at Mikros Animation as a CG Supervisor, where they played a pivotal role in setting up the London studio and worked closely with colleagues and various stakeholders to deliver the movie "Sherlock Gnomes."

Paul J. also worked at Prime Focus World, where they held various roles including CG Supervisor, Technical Director, and Computer Graphics Generalist. In these positions, they managed the technical requirements for the animation division, established tools and processes, and facilitated knowledge transfer across sites.

Paul started their career at Fresh FX as a CGI Artist and later moved to Prime Focus | Commercials as a Junior Animator/Intern. Paul J. also had brief experiences at Framestore and wunderwerk GmbH as a Runner and Junior 3D Artist respectively.
