Philippa McIlroy (Pip)

Philippa (Pip) McIlroy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and education. Currently serving as the Founder and Director of Checking for Understanding since June 2023, Philippa also holds the position of Manager, People and Leadership Development at Jesuit Social Services and is a Board Member of The Cardoner Network. Previous roles include Acting General Manager Ethics & Formation and Group Mission Integration Manager at St Vincent's Health Australia, as well as Recruitment and Operations Coordinator at Jesuit Social Services. Philippa’s educational background includes a Master's degree in Theology from the University of Newcastle and a Postgraduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary) from the University of Melbourne, among other qualifications in Humanities, Languages, and Philosophy.
