Lou Montulli

Lou Montulli is a computer scientist and entrepreneur who has been involved in some of the most influential companies in the internet industry. Lou is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer at JetInsight.

Previously, Lou was the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at Zetta, Inc., from December 2007 to November 2017. There, they were responsible for developing the company's technology strategy and roadmap.

Before that, Lou served as Vice President of Engineering at Shutterfly from May 2005 to December 2007. In this role, they oversaw all of Shutterfly's engineering efforts, including the development of new product features and the scaling of the company's infrastructure.

Prior to Shutterfly, Lou was the Co-Founder and CEO of Memory Matrix, Inc., from December 2004 to December 2005. Memory Matrix was a startup that developed software to help people manage their digital photos.

Lou's first foray into the internet industry was as a Founding Engineer at Epinions.com (now Shopping.com) from May 1999 to December 2001. At Epinions, they were the Director of Server Engineering, responsible for the development and management of the company's server infrastructure.

BeforeEpinions, Lou was a Founding Engineer at Netscape Communications from April 1994 to December 1998. There they developed and managed the networking architecture group and code libraries for all early versions of Netscape Navigator as well as several server products.

Lou's career began at the University of Kansas where they were the Primary Developer from April 1991 to April 1994.

Lou Montulli studied electrical engineering and computer science at The University of Kansas.

They work with Janelle Wolak - Director, Product, Kevin del Rosario - Senior Operator Support Associate, and Christopher Lungu - Director, Sales. Lou Montulli reports to David Benjamin, Co-Founder & CEO.
