Munsook (Erin) Kim, CPA

Munsook (Erin) Kim, CPA has held various accounting roles throughout their career. Munsook (Erin) began their career in 2001 as a Junior Accountant at Samwoo CPA, LLP where they drafted monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports for more than 120 small businesses and corporations within the Tri State area. Munsook (Erin) also prepared bank reconciliations, depreciation schedules and various schedules for clients’ financial records. In 2005, they moved to New York Life Insurance Company as an Associate Accountant where they prepared annual financial statements and quarterly financial statements with supporting schedules for external auditors. Munsook (Erin) also assisted and completed quarterly GAAP accounting functions for New York Life Insurance Company and its subsidiaries, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and reconciliations of the SAP Ledger System. In 2008, they joined AIG as a Financial Analyst where they prepared legal entity underwriting P&L budgets for foreign and domestic entities on a quarterly basis for various teams within the organization. Munsook (Erin) also collaborated and partnered with project managers during decommission of underwriting legacy systems and transfer of historical data to new ledger systems. Additionally, they served as the regional foreign exchange SME, managed and oversaw the region’s treatment and reporting of foreign exchange. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Jetty as an Assistant Controller.

Munsook (Erin) Kim, CPA obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Hunter College in 2005. Munsook (Erin) also holds a Certified Public Accountant certification from the New York State Education Department.
