Disability Day Program Educator at Jewish Family Home Care

Jackie Elias is an experienced professional in the animal care and training field, specializing in dog training and behavior. Since June 2004, Jackie has operated Jackies Dogs, offering private and small group training sessions with flexible scheduling to address both behavioral issues and basic training needs. As a qualified animal behaviorist, Jackie provides personalized services to train dogs while equipping their families to handle behavioral challenges in the future. With a strong background in veterinary nursing, science, and education, Jackie has delivered various classes on pet first aid and animal handling. Additionally, Jackie served as the Disability Day Program Manager at JewishCare NSW from June 2019 to August 2023, where program development focused on creating independence for individuals with mixed abilities. Jackie accumulated experience as a Veterinary Technician at the University of Sydney, specializing in dermatology while also teaching animal handling skills. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Sydney and a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing from the University of Technology Sydney.
