Ijeoma Anyanwu

Ijeoma Anyanwu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in volunteer services, mentorship, and research. Currently serving as the Director of Volunteer Services at JFS of Metrowest and Mentor Director at Newton Youth Success Collaborative, Ijeoma is also a Doctoral Researcher and PhD candidate at UMass Boston, focusing on public policy. With a rich background as a Board Member at Suzuki School of Newton and previous roles such as Leadership, Instructional, and Program Organizer at 6 to 16, Ijeoma has developed initiatives aimed at advancing equity for BIPOC, low-income, and first-generation students. Ijeoma's earlier experiences include positions as a Research Analyst at the Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy and a Project Director at Food Bank Nigeria. Ijeoma holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Administration from Boston College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Lagos.
