POSITION OVERVIEW

JGM is looking for a dedicated and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist with a strong background in    sourcing a temporary and permanent, skilled workforce inclusive of fabricators, welders, ironworkers, millwrights, pipe fitters, laborers, superintendents, foremen, leads, field engineers, construction managers, project managers, quality control technicians, safety representatives both local and traveling.  The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, identifying, attracting, interviewing, screening, and recommending the best talent to support our expanding nationwide operations. 

   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Talent Acquisition Strategy: Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans tailored to the unique needs of the heavy industrial steel fabrication and construction industry to support the hiring manager’s specific project needs.

Networking:  Attend career events and trade school job fairs across the country.

Job Posting and Advertising: Craft compelling job descriptions and advertise job openings on various platforms to attract top-tier candidates. 

Candidate Sourcing: Leverage diverse sourcing methods, including cold calling, text messaging,  social media, job boards, industry networks, recruiting events and employee referrals, to identify potential candidates. 

Screening and Interviewing: Conduct thorough screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates’ qualifications and fit for the role. 

Candidate Experience: Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience through effective communication and professionalism throughout the recruitment process. 

Collaboration: Partner closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide expert advice on recruitment best practices. 

Employer Branding: Enhance and promote the company’s employer brand to attract high-quality talent in the industry. 

Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS). 

Reporting: Provide regular updates and detailed reports on recruitment metrics and progress to senior management.

Industry knowledge: Maintaining knowledge of current human resources trends, state & federal regulations, and company policies. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • A minimum of 5 years of recruitment experience, specifically souring temporary, skilled workers.

  • Experience with sourcing for heavy industrial industry a plus.

  • In-depth understanding of the heavy industrial sector, including key roles, industry standards, terminology, and regulatory requirements.

  • Bilingual preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, sales, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and industry contacts.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
