Joanne Peter

Joanne Peter is an accomplished professional in health technology and social innovation, currently serving as the Director of the Innovation Hub at Jhpiego since March 2022. In this role, Joanne leads a multidisciplinary team to enhance the operations of Jhpiego's 36 country offices through various innovative approaches and partnerships with social entrepreneurs. Previously, Joanne held the position of Director of Social Innovation at Johnson & Johnson's Global Community Impact from August 2017 to March 2022, leading health technology initiatives. Other notable positions include serving as Innovation Director at DG Murray Trust, overseeing efforts in early childhood development, and contributing to health initiatives at Johnson & Johnson and the United Nations Foundation. Joanne holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Cape Town.
