Joseph Elliott has over 20 years of experience in software engineering, beginning with a consultant role at Integral in 1999. Joseph then worked as a consultant at Sony Pictures Digital in 2001, followed by a Principal role at Digital Spectrum in 2002. In 2004, they co-founded ThumbJive and was responsible for wireless and internet application development projects. Joseph then became the CTO/Chief Software Architect at Kyte in 2006, where they were responsible for the application server design and architecture efforts. In 2011, they worked as a consultant at KIT digital, Inc, followed by a Principal Software Engineer role at Fluxx in 2013. In 2015, they became a Principal Software Engineer at CoLab Coop, where they were responsible for projects such as reimplementation of The Working World's non-extractive loan management platform for Latin American cooperatives and a payment processing and crowdfunding platform pilot. In 2016, they took on a Principal Software Engineer role at Josephine, followed by a Co-founder and Principal Software Engineer role at Jiveworld in 2017.
Joseph Elliott attended UC Santa Barbara from 1986 to 1989, with a Math emphasis in the College of Creative Studies. Joseph also obtained two Coursera certifications, Functional Programming Principles in Scala and Principles of Reactive Programming.
