Allison Quinnell has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Starting in 2007, they worked at Target in various roles, including Global Sourcing Manager and Designer. Allison then transitioned to design positions at Gap Inc./Old Navy, The North Face, and Tai Apparel, where they specialized in different areas of apparel design. In 2015, they became a Freelance Designer and Creative Director at Q & Co. Allison founded Slate Collective in 2017 and served as its Founder. Most recently, they joined JL Buchanan in 2019 as the Director of Creative Strategy, focusing on beauty, wellness, and OTC clients. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their expertise in trend forecasting, merchandising, and collaborating with sales and business insights teams. Additionally, Allison has showcased their designs through their own namesake women's ready-to-wear line, which they successfully sold at several Minneapolis retailers.

From 2003 to 2007, they attended the University of Minnesota and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clothing Design.
In 2005 and 2006, they attended Central St. Martin's School of Art and Design, specializing in the Womenswear and Marketing Pathway.
Lastly, from 2012 to 2014, Allison pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management.
