Junior Software Developer at JMA Wireless

Raffaele Russo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in software development and research. In 2016, they worked as a Software Development Intern - R&D at TANIQ, where they focused on automation of mandrel-built reinforced rubber products. In 2017, they served as a Master Thesis Student at Technische Universiteit Delft, specializing in the development and implementation of High Order Cohesive Elements for FEA. During the same year, they also participated in the ATHENS Programme at Technical University Munich, gaining skills in computational mechanics for crashworthiness. In 2017, they joined Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering as a Structural Engineer, working on the design of a composite bulkhead using software tools like ABAQUS and CATIA v6. From 2018 to 2022, Raffaele was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher at Universidad del País Vasco, contributing to the development of a viscoplastic strain gradient continuum theory for multi-coupled modeling of metallic alloys. In 2020, they worked as an FEM Software Developer at ESI Group for a few months before becoming a Visiting Researcher at Université de Bordeaux in 2021. Currently, they are employed as a Junior Software Developer at JMA Wireless, starting from 2022.

Raffaele Russo's education history begins with a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, which they obtained from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II between 2010 and 2014. Raffaele then pursued a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 2015 to 2017. Following this, they concurrently pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering at both Mines Paris and Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea from 2018 to 2021.
