Melissa Bowers has a diverse work experience in the accounting and finance field. Melissa has held various roles at different companies throughout their career.

At JOANN Stores, Melissa started as an Internal Audit Intern in 2001 before becoming an Internal Auditor. Melissa coordinated audits with third-party firms, reviewed findings, and managed claim processes. Melissa then moved on to become a Senior Accountant in Lease Accounting, where they analyzed and reconciled lease-related accounts and assisted in resolving complex issues. Melissa was later promoted to Supervisor of Lease Accounting, where they managed rent payments and reconciliations for over 900 retail locations.

After their time at JOANN Stores, Melissa worked at OfficeMax as a Senior Lease Accountant and Supervisor of Lease Administration, where they managed the payment and processing of rent, reconciliations, and sales reporting for multiple retail locations.

Melissa also gained experience at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a Staff Accountant, where they ensured the proper recording of receivables transactions and prepared monthly reconciliations.
