Juan Lizarazo

Juan Lizarazo has over 13 years of work experience in software engineering and development. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a freelance Computer Support Technician and Web Developer for independent projects and small businesses. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Convergys, providing technical support and customer service for small businesses. Juan then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at InsideSales.com from 2014 to 2016, where they maintained, designed, and improved components of multiple systems. In 2016, they joined Navitaire, an Amadeus company, as a Senior Software Engineer, helping to develop app hub with electron, html, scss, nodejs, typescript, angular 4/5, redux and jasmine for unit tests. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Impartner Software, leading a distributed team of frontend engineers in two countries. Juan also held the role of Senior Software Engineer at Udemy from 2018 to 2020, where they authored the highest-rated and best seller JavaScript testing course in Udemy and taught students from 99+ countries and 6 continents. Lastly, Juan held the role of Software Architect and Senior Software Engineer at JobNimbus from 2020 to present.

Juan Lizarazo received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Computer Support Technician certification from Escuela Colombiana de Sistemas in 2005. In 2016, they also completed a Machine Learning course from Stanford University on Coursera.
