Justin Shakespear

Justin Shakespear is a highly experienced software engineer with a wide range of roles and responsibilities. Justin has worked at various companies, starting with ViaSubscription in 2003 and currently working at JobNimbus since 2022.

At their current position as a Senior Software Engineer at JobNimbus, Justin is part of the communications team, where they focus on enhancing customers' texting and email experience through automations. Justin has implemented a Notification Center that consolidates in-app notifications and improves customer engagement.

Prior to JobNimbus, Justin worked at 1440 as a Principal Software Architect/Developer. Here, they implemented a continuous integration system and created a Chrome Extension with React that customers use to manage their Salesforce reviews and questions directly in Social Studio. Justin also collaborated with senior management to ensure feature development aligned with company timelines and roadmap.

As a Software Engineering Manager at Omadi, Inc., Justin managed the team responsible for building Omadi's core Towing Management System, iOS, and Android apps. Justin also worked closely with DevOps and Product Management to stabilize the TMS product, improve the customer experience, and align development workload with the company's roadmap.

Justin has also held roles such as a Senior Software Engineer at Lingotek, where they provided support and guidance to less experienced developers and audited source code for the company's internally-developed products. At NUVI, as a Senior Software Engineer, they added functionality to various product offerings, architected and developed an application for managing user and company settings, and introduced white label functionality across products.

Furthermore, Justin served as a Principal Software Engineer at EMC, where they worked on a cloud data service initiative, and as a Senior Software Architect/Developer at Cloud Conversion, where they developed a SOA system for data sharing between Salesforce and remote providers.

Earlier in their career, Justin was a Software Architect/Project Manager at PMA Media Group, contributing to the development of vital company software systems and mentoring junior developers. Justin also worked as a Software Engineer at VitalSmarts, building an e-commerce website and custom presentation software, and as a Software Developer at ViaSubscription, where they migrated infrastructure and maintained customer websites.

Justin Shakespear obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003.
