Jobs for the Future
Jen Horton currently serves as the Senior Director for Workforce and Regional Economies at Jobs for the Future (JFF) since July 2023 and has held various leadership roles in workforce development and economic policy. Notable positions include Network Manager at the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University and Senior Advisor for Economic Mobility at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Government Excellence. Jen has contributed to community economic development through roles at the National Association of Counties and Baltimore County, and has experience in environmental planning from her time at the US Environmental Protection Agency. In addition to practical experience, Jen holds a Master of Urban Planning and a Master of Science in Environmental Justice from the University of Michigan, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Jen also actively participates as a board member for the Neighborhood Design Center.
